Jay Patel - CTO Jay has many years of deep Internet and e-business experience. He has acted as a lead strategist and technical architect for numerous B-2-C, B-2-B and supply chain solutions. He is a very effective team builder with strong leadership qualities. Jay brings with him an extensive experience with overseas companies, especially in South America, Europe and India. He was the lead strategist and architect for a B-2-B marketplace and community site for the construction industry in South America. This site won ECWorld Magazine's “Site of the Year” Award. An early, global, end-to-end, retail platform (www.submarino.com) included multiple languages, currency, product categories, and cross selling between multiple countries. It is currently deployed in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal and Mexico and considered to be the most successful retail site for Latin market Other clients include FloraMall – a supply chain solution for the floral industry-- Fruit of the Loom, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Before joining Ivolution, Jay served as the Chief Technology officer of Snickelways, where he was responsible for technical strategy, thought-leadership and overall technology capabilities. Before the Internet became a commercial medium, Jay worked for Saks Fifth Avenue as a lead systems/database analyst. He was in charge of development for most of the internal systems at Saks, including requirements gathering and technical implementations. Jay has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the City University of New York.
